I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ and on
behalf of Father Bordonaro and the entire parish staff.
I am Monsignor John C. Marine and I am the Pastor of
St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland,
Pennsylvania. Whether you are already a member of
the St. Bede parish family, or just browsing through
our web-site for information, I hope that what you
find here will be helpful. As you work your way
through the many pages of our web-site you will have
an opportunity to meet our staff and learn about the
various programs of our parish.
Our parish was founded 41 years ago by Cardinal John
Krol, Archbishop of Philadelphia, to serve the
Catholics in Northampton Township and beyond.
Although we are a very large parish consisting of
almost 3,300 households and 11,000 registered
parishioners, we believe that what binds us together
as a community is our faith and love of God, of His
Son Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy
Spirit.
After living here and being a part of this parish
since my coming in June, 2005, I believe that this
is a parish of faith filled people who are
journeying through life together and radiating the
love of Christ to one another. Though we may have
many members, there is a warmth and sense of
hospitality here that makes each individual feel
important and loved.
